I believe what you are missing is the grand and creative experience which you have managed to bring to life--the gestalt in which together you are greater than the sum of your parts. And as we all know parts is parts. Phantom limb pain's a bite, yes. A marvelous post, Shaun, wise and probably a nice gift for your sweetie to read when she gets back.

Thanks Terry, its nice to know that someone understands and that really helps me feel less like a whiny little kid. I haven't exactly witnessed it full force, but from I've learned so far, the only thing that really makes you a grown up is that you acknowledge the fact that you don't really "grow up" and move past selfish and immature feelings. So, knowing that someone can relate makes me feel better. Thanks.
